Our estate vineyard, originally planted in 1974, is comprised of 16 planted acres of Pinot noir. Our flagship wine, the Demeter Biodynamic® certified Winderlea Vineyard Pinot noir, exemplifies what this stunning site is all about.
The 2016 Winderlea is a classic example of this expressive, lush vintage. The nose opens with bright, fresh notes of cherry, blackberry, tarragon, and dusting of cedar. Truffle and orange zest come through and transition to a firm and taut palate marked by a pop of hibiscus followed by barley and clove. The structure of this wine is balanced by the silky, creamy mouthfeel and long finish.

Winderlea Vineyard & Winery is a boutique winery specializing in the production of small lots of Pinot noir and Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley.
Established in 2005 by winegrowers Bill Sweat and Donna Morris, Winderlea is located on the original Dundee Hills Vineyard, a 20 acre property they acquired that was originally planted in the 1970s. Adding to their estate vineyard on the red hills bench, Winderlea secured the Meredith Mitchell Vineyard, located in McMinnville, as an estate holding through a long-term lease.
As lovers of wines that speak to the characteristics of each vineyard site, their winemaking is focused and minimalist. Winderlea is obsessed with producing its wines and running its business as sustainably as possible. They are one of only 60 Demeter Biodynamic® Certified Vineyards in the United States and were one of the first five wineries globally to achieve B Corp Certification, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable practices in all aspects of the business.
