2017 Dry Riesling, Wirz Vineyard


The Wirz vineyard is located in Cienega Valley (San Benito County), in the foothills of the Gabilan Mountain Range ~1100 ft above sea level and ~25 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The Riesling vines are approximately 59 years old grown on granite and limestone soils. The vines are head trained and dry farmed with the exception of the last two drought years they received minimal winter supplemental water.


Whole cluster pressed to stainless steel. Indigenous yeast, bottled prior to malolactic fermentation.


Refreshing minerality and balanced acidity. Pear, lime. green apple.

Ser began its first vintage in 2012 with wines sourced from vineyards influenced by the Pacific Ocean. Cool climate, central coast vineyards including the appellations of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Cienega Valley, Santa Lucia Highlands and more recently Edna Valley are the primary sources of fruit.
